Shipping & Local Pickup Policy

Shipping

We offer USPS First Class, USPS Ground Advantage, and USPS Priority Mail shipping services, allowing us to provide reliable and economical shipping throughout the United States.

Orders are processed in the order they are received. Processing time is approximately 48-72 business hours from the time your order is placed. If you select Priority Mail or any expedited shipping service, shipping time begins once your order has been processed and picked up by the carrier.

Please allow 1-2 business days after your package has shipped for tracking information to update.

All products are packed and shipped directly from The Pretty Hot Mess Warehouse in Upstate New York.

Orders requiring cold packs will only ship Monday through Thursday. We do not ship temperature-sensitive products Friday through Sunday to help protect product quality.

Orders over $149 qualify for FREE USPS Ground Shipping. Free shipping does not apply to UPS, USPS Priority Mail, Overnight Mail, or any expedited shipping services. Free shipping is not applicable with sales. 


Local Pickup Policy

Customers selecting Local Pickup will receive an email when their order is ready for pickup.

Please do not come to the store to pick up your order until you have received your "Ready for Pickup" email. Receiving an order confirmation does not mean your order is ready.

Local pickup orders require approximately 24-72 business hours to process. Orders are processed during normal business hours only. We do not process local pickup orders after 3:00 PM or on weekends or holidays.

Orders must be picked up within 7 days of receiving the "Ready for Pickup" notification.

Beginning on Day 8, any order not picked up will automatically be invoiced for shipping to the shipping address provided at checkout.

Your shipping invoice is due immediately. If payment is not received within 24 hours, your order will be canceled. A 25% restocking fee will be deducted, and the remaining balance will be issued as store credit only, unless otherwise stated under our Final Sale Policy below.

The Pretty Hot Mess cannot provide long-term storage for pickup orders.

Failure to read or receive emails, text messages, or pickup notifications does not waive these deadlines or policies.

Changing Your Delivery Method

If you select Local Pickup and later request that your order be shipped, a 20% processing fee will be added in addition to all applicable shipping charges.

If you select Shipping and later choose to pick up your order in-store, your original shipping charges will be refunded as store credit only, less a 20% processing fee.

Final Sale, Seasonal & Clearance Merchandise

Orders containing clearance, seasonal, holiday, limited-edition, exclusive, viral, mystery, or other designated final sale merchandise are time-sensitive and may become non-refundable after the pickup deadline.

If the shipping invoice for one of these orders is not paid within 24 hours, The Pretty Hot Mess reserves the right to cancel the order without refund or store credit on applicable final sale merchandise.

By placing an order and selecting either Shipping or Local Pickup, you acknowledge and agree to these policies.


Returns & Refunds

If you receive your order with a damaged item, including broken bottles or leaking roller bottles, you must notify us by email within 72 hours of delivery. Please include photographs of both the damaged product and the shipping package.

To be eligible for a return, the entire order must be returned in its original, unopened packaging with all tags attached (when applicable). We do not offer partial returns or partial refunds.

For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on any product that has been opened or used.

Due to health regulations, we do not accept returns or exchanges on leggings, jeggings, undergarments (including bras), or swimwear.

Unless an item is received damaged or is subject to a manufacturer recall, all approved refunds are issued as store credit only, less any shipping charges.


Final Sale Items

The following items are Final Sale and are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or store credit unless required by law:

• Essential oils
• Lotions
• Salves
• Books
• Tarot cards
• Clearance merchandise
• Seasonal and holiday merchandise
• Limited-edition and exclusive merchandise
• Mystery products


Stress Balls & Squishy Toys

All stress balls, squishies, and squeeze toys are Final Sale.

These products are designed for gentle squeezing and stress relief. Excessive pulling, stretching, biting, puncturing, twisting, or rough handling may cause tearing or bursting.

Please inspect your item at the time of purchase. Once the item leaves our store, we cannot offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit for damage caused after purchase.

Parental supervision is recommended.


Crystals & Mineral Specimens

All crystals, gemstones, carvings, towers, spheres, jewelry, and mineral specimens are Final Sale.

Because crystals are natural materials and may contain natural inclusions or delicate formations, we cannot offer returns, exchanges, or store credit for breakage, chipping, cracking, or damage occurring after purchase.

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
