The only color I wear on my lips is Lipsense!!! I rarely wear the same exact color combo twice because I combine different colors to make unique combinations.
I recommend searching Pinterest for inspiration and pictures of colors on various skin tones.
The lippy product itself is an opaque liquid lipstick, which is sealed into place with a gloss top coat. This is a key component—while your traditional liquid lipstick can be worn solo, Lipsense gloss is needed to seal in the formula. LipSense's formula also takes a slightly longer application route than your other lip colors. First, apply one coat of the lip color, allow it to dry completely, then follow with two more coats to build up the intensity. Thin, workable layers are of the essence to prevent a caked-on appearance. Once the final swipe is dry, finish with the top coat gloss—the shiny, matte, opal, and pearl finishes available allow you to customize the effect.
Furthermore, it is a non-wax, liquid lip color that provides you with a natural shield from all the elements. LipSense gloss helps prevent chapped lips that you may get from all day wear. It is created with naturally-recurring ingredients, formulated in compliance with FDA regulations and made in the USA.
How do I apply to LipSense?
First, make sure you have removed any product on your lips- I personally recommend cleaning the lips with witch hazel. Next, take the LipSense wand and with a swiping motion, swipe on the color in one direction so the lipsticks can form a solid bond with your lip. Wait for 5 to 10 seconds before applying another coat. You should apply 3 thin coats in all. When your color is dry, then apply the gloss, which will help protect your color and keep your lips moisturized all day. Also, be sure to carry around your favorite Lipsense gloss with you throughout the day to re-apply and help eliminated chapped lips.
How do I remove LipSense at the end of the day?
The longer you wear your LipSense color during the day, the easier it will be to take off. Another great and easy way to remove it is by putting a little coconut oil on your lips and wipe/gently scrub off with a makeup eraser washcloth. So, if possible, try to plan on wearing your shade for 4-6+ hours.
